Yoga Therapeutics: A 4-week Series with Jessica Winters

Join Jessica Winters for this 4-week series dedicated to pranayama and therapeutic hatha yoga. Intended to improve flexibility of the mind and body, as well as build strength in your asana and pranayama practices. Each week, our practice will include a combination of exercises to target the spine, refine balance and improve shoulder stability. The last portion of our weekly practice will include focused pranayama techniques.

This series is open to all levels of yoga experience and will be recorded for those who are unable to attend the livestream class.

NEW Teacher + Class! - Yin with Court

I’m thrilled to have Court Fletcher join the Yogabird Studios team with a lunchtime yin practice!

In this class, longer held poses allow opportunities for connective tissue and fascial release. During the stillness, we explore breath-work and mindfulness practices. This is the ‘yin’, or the more watery, softer, passive compliments to our more 'yang' - fiery, active, engaging practices.

All poses are practiced on the mat in this class. Props, including blankets, towels, pillows, yoga blocks and straps are useful.

Study + Restore: An 8-week Series

Study + Restore: An 8-week Series

This 8-week series will be a weekly opportunity to learn, reflect and restore. Each week, we will spend about 45 minutes discussing The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali - yoga's philosophical foundations. We will use the remainder of our time to practice restorative yoga. This practice of yoga encourages props to create a restful, comfortable position for the body to encourage ease of breath and reset energetic pathways in the body.

Dates: Tuesdays January 19th - March 9th

Time: 7:30- 9pm

Suggested investment for this 8-week series is $80 ($40 for members)

While there is no required materials for this workshop, students may find benefit from purchasing or borrowing a translation of the Yoga Sutras (there are many options). Purchasing yoga-specific props is not necessary; Props for practice can include pillows, blankets, towels, soft sweatshirts, etc.

Winter Wellness Workshop

Winter Wellness Workshop

This 5 hour workshop will be split into (2) 2.5 hour sessions. Saturday will be an afternoon of learning about prominent energies of the current season and establishing tools to help guide us through the Winter months. On Sunday, we will implement these tools, exploring ways to integrate and create personal routine and ritual, including a take-home meditation and asana practice recording.

Time: Saturday January 16th from 3-5:30pm and Sunday January 17th from 3-5:30pm

Suggested investment for this workshop is $90 for both days ($45 for members)
